VIDEO: Behind the scenes with Solar Impulse Control

As Solar Impulse continues its historic mission to fly around the world using solar power, Arabian Aerospace TV visits the mission control centre in France and looks in depth at the connectivity that lies at the heart of the operation.

 The aircraft is now on the trans Atlantic leg from the US to Europe as it heads towards Abu Dhabi where it will complete its circumnavigation.

In the Arabian Aerospace TV special, Steve Nichols looks at how the technology being used with Solar Impulse by Sita-OnAir coupled with Inmarsat is an indicator of future opportunities for air transport cockpit and cabin technology
