The conference brought together international logistics sector experts who shared their industry know-how and expertise with students.

Speaking at the launch of the event, Pegasus Airlines Operations Control Center (OCC) manager Umit Kula said: “The most important elements for our clients in air transportation are for the product to be delivered on time, to the correct location and in a safe manner. We need to be extra vigilant and cautious due to the high value of the items we carry via air cargo. Our below-average rates of damaged and lost cargo demonstrate our commitment to these efforts. Having started our operations 11 years ago in 2005, today we have grown to offer our services across 64 international and 33 internal routes within Turkey reachinga total of 97 destinations in 38 countries. As of the end of 2015, we have witnessed a 17% increase in the cargo weight carried to reach 11,716,948 kg and in 2016, we’re delighted to say we’ve continued our double-digit growth.”
