The SD WiFi Hub provides a solution for operators who priorities email access and text messaging.

The hub also enhances the Satcom Direct Router, (SDRTM) for ultra-long range aircraft, adding functionality and enhancing the performance in the cabin, and has the smallest form factor in aviation.

“By adding the SD WiFi Hub to our hardware line up, SD now offers powerful connectivity solutions for any size aircraft. The Hub is the perfect platform for smaller airframes that previously were unable to utilize the SDR due to space constraints,” said Ken Bantoft, chief technology officer, SD.

The hub delivers many SD services, including GlobalVT® which enables voice and text on personal smart phones, and features two Arinc 429 interfaces, configurable discretes, and supports multiple SATCOM bearers and multiple Wi-Fi networks.
