Pegasus Airlines is collaborating with Turkey's leading chef Arda Turkmen, who appears regularly on CNN Turk, for a year to offer guests a wider choice of in-flight meals.

In addition to the Cinnamon Apple Muffin, the first new item that was launched on 1 April 2014, the Pegasus Café menu will expand to include delicious new items such as Biscotti, Spinach Muffins and Pistachio Cookies throughout the year.

Guliz Ozturk, Pegasus Airlines chief commercial officer, said: “In addition to offering everyone the right to fly, we aim to pursue diverse and innovative ventures in our industry. We continue to grow our business model through expanding the range of services we offer. Our ancillary products and services go beyond traditional travelling habits and allow our guests to shape and personalise their travels. As a low cost airline, we strive to give the best service at the most competitive prices as well as presenting our guests the freedom of choice.”

Chef Arda Turkmen, Ozturk said: “Our Pegasus Café menu, prepared by TURKISH DO & CO and served on all our flights, has over 20 different dishes that include Mushroom Ravioli, Prawns, Schnitzel and a great selection of salads. In November 2013, we also added Sushi to our menu. As we contemplated what we else could do to diversify our guests’ travel experiences, we met Chef Arda Turkmen. Our partnership with the Chef is an extension of our constant search for innovation as he is also known for taking part in special and innovative projects. By adding Arda Turkmen’s recipes to our special menu, we aim to make flying with Pegasus even more enjoyable. Pegasus Café will offer varied options to our guests in the year ahead.”
