Kuwait Airways says it is halting all flights to Beirut from today for an indefinite period. This followed a security warning from the Cyprus government, it said on a Tweet.

It said it made a decision to stop all flights bound for Lebanon “on the basis of serious security warnings,” adding that it is aimed at “preserving the safety” of its passengers.
The warning from Cyprus authorities follows the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) issuing an alert via Eurocontrol, warning of possible air strikes into Syria and the possibility of intermittent disruption of radio navigation equipment.
Other alerts from security firms are warning pilots about the risks of flying in the eastern Mediterranean and in the Nicosia flight region.
