Flydubai places order with Recaro Aircraft Seating

Flydubai has placed new orders for the Recaro seat BL3510. The economy class cabin of the airline's entire fleet is equipped with Recaro quality seating.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Flydubai, said that the detail to seating was typical of the flydubai philosophy: “Our focus is on the cost, comfort and convenience of our passengers. The Recaro seats are advanced and benefit from the latest design combined with innovation, comfort and easy maintenance. We are happy to extend our partnership with Recaro to be the exclusive seat manufacturer for our economy class across our entire fleet.”

“We are very pleased to continue working with Flydubai, and we are proud to be part of their expanding fleet,” explained Dr. Mark Hiller, chief executive officer and Shareholder of Recaro Aircraft Seating.

The company has been supplying seats to the Dubai-based airline since its start in 2009. Almost 9,000 seats have been delivered to flydubai so far. The new seat contract will be part of the latest aircraft deliveries starting in February 2016: The BL3510 will be installed in the newly ordered Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

“The quality of the seat model has been well proven over the last years,” Hiller added. “The seat’s strongest features are its ergonomics and its comfort which continue to be positively rated by passengers. In these competitive times, it is a must to supply lightweight and space-saving designs to support airlines to perate the aircraft more efficiently, as well as to reduce environmental impacts.”
