EgyptAir and Aegean Airlines have expanded their codeshare cooperation to include new routes that will enable customers to enjoy enhanced connectivity and seamless travel throughout the combined networks offering passengers various possibilities to travel.

Furthermore, schedules of new destinations have been planned to allow quick and convenient connections through both cities gateway HUBs, Cairo International Airport and Athens International Airport. Customers will be able to travel with easier connections and more flexible alternatives with one ticket and one single check-in at first boarding airport as well as enjoying Frequent Flyer programs reciprocal mileage accrual and redemption benefits.

“We continually work towards making product and service improvements for maximum passenger satisfaction. These new codeshare routes reinforce our existing relationship with Aegean.  We consider Aegean a key partner of success to enhance our footprint in Europe“ said Safwat Musallam chairman & CEO EgyptAir Holding.

Capt. Sherif Ezzat,  EgyptAir Chairman & CEO said: “The expanded codeshare agreement with Aegean Airlines will initiate commercial opportunities for both airlines, and more importantly unleash the true benefits of the partnership by offering business and leisure travelers' optimum connections. Cairo and Athens have close cultural and business cooperation in various areas including aviation. The expansion of this codeshare will add more values to our commercial ties and will be equally beneficial for our customers.”

“We are glad to expand an already established codeshare cooperation with our neighboring Star Alliance partner and we strongly believe that such partnerships can put up a stronger proposition to our customers, while offering a competitive alternative between Africa and northwestern Europe,” added Dimitris Gerogiannis, CEO of Aegean.
