Dans conducts visit to Rashid Center for the Determined Ones

Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans), the leading air navigation services provider for Dubai and the Northern Emirates celebrated the UAE Civil Aviation day through conducting a visit to Rashid Center for the Determined Ones.

The visit entailed Ibrahim Ahli, deputy CEO of dans, Asma Al Mutawa, Director of Finance and Human Capital and acting Vice president of dans, Maitha Al Hajj, Director of Strategy of dans, as well as  Mariam Othman, Chief Executive Officer of Rashid Center for the Determined Ones.

In alignment to Dubai Government vision with regards to the announcement of 2017 as the “Year of Giving”, the organisation strives to support all charitable entities and centres through community engagement and volunteer initiatives within the UAE.

The visit to the centre incorporated a tour of its facilities which provided the team a learning opportunity of the various educational and rehabilitation methods utilised at the centre; in addition, to exploring the different facilities such as arts and crafts and the sports halls. The visit was concluded by an artistic performance that was delivered by the centre’s students.

Ahli, said: “Based on the empowering vision of HRH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and in accordance with the nation’s policy to empower the “Determined ones”, the organisation under the leadership of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Dubai Air Navigation Services, and H.E. Mohammed A. Ahli, the Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of Dubai Air Navigation Services, has placed significant emphasis on volunteering and charitable initiatives through the organisation’s corporate social responsibility team. On that basis, we decided to spend the UAE Civil Aviation Day with the determined ones as we have complete faith in their capabilities to overcome any challenges they encounter, as well as to further encourage their engagement within our communities. Through our visit, we enjoyed the opportunity of exploring the significant efforts that Rashid Center dedicates to this unique faction of society, and we express our gratitude to the center’s managerial body and team for their strenuous efforts and wish them continuous success”.
