British Ambassador to Bahrain Visits Gulf Air Headquarters

In advance of Gulf Air’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner serving the airline’s Bahrain - London, Heathrow route next month, H.E. Simon Martin CMG The British Ambassador to Bahrain was recently welcomed to Bahrain’s national carrier’s headquarters.

Martin was met with Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Krešimir Kučko, Gulf Air Deputy Chief Executive Officer Captain Waleed Abdulhameed Al Alawi and Gulf Air Chief Technical Officer Jamal Hashim.

During the meeting they discussed future collaboration and joint promotion of the airline’s upcoming and highly anticipated Dreamliner service on its London Heathrow route which is scheduled to commence in June 2018. Gulf Air’s 10 incoming Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners will be powered by Rolls-Royce’s Trent 1000-TEN engines in an agreement that also includes long-term TotalCare service support. Gulf Air's current wide body fleet are also powered by Trent 700 engines and, with this latest development, the airline is continuing its longstanding relationship with Rolls-Royce as it takes an important step forward in developing its future fleet.
