Barbara Dalibard announced as SITA CEO

SITA has announced that Barbara Dalibard has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective of July, replacing Francesco Violante, who plans to step down after 13 years in the role.

Dalibard is joining SITA from SNCF, after serving as CEO of SNCF Voyageurs. She has also served as CEO at Orange Business Services.
 
“Barbara Dalibard has the ideal combination of executive management experience and leadership to strengthen the role of SITA in the air transport community and we are looking forward to working with her. She joins SITA after the strong leadership of Francesco Violante who has dramatically transformed it into a single company that delivers award winning IT solutions to the industry,” said Dr Omar Jefri, chair, SITA Board, executive vice president corporate management and regulations, Saudi Arabian.
 
Dalibard holds a Master of Science and Engineering from Telecom ParisTech, and a Master of Mathematics from the Ecole Normale Supérieure. She was also awarded an honorary doctorate by the Ecole Polytechnique and the University of Montreal.
