Aviation Africa 2018 to open in Cairo 17-18 April with record numbers

The Aviation Africa Summit and Exhibition taking place on 17-18 April 2018 in Cairo, Egypt opens next week to a record audience of aviation industry professionals.

The event will feature an exhibition hall made up of 118 aerospace companies including Gold Sponsors; Airbus, Boeing & GE Aviation and Silver Sponsors; AerCap, Bombardier, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise & Rolls Royce.

The pre-registered attendees reached a new record total for the event of 660 with an expected total audience to reach 750 in Cairo next week. The delegates and visitors to the event span 50 countries and include 220 personnel from 34 airlines and 50 speakers from across Africa and the international sector.

The two day conference has one main aim - securing strategy for Africa's success. Topics that will help to address this include cyber security, infrastructure investment, single skies, harnessing MRO development, women in aviation and how to survive in a competitive marketplace amongst many other sessions. 

The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Aviation and H.E. Sherif Fathi, Minister of Aviation, Republic of Egypt will deliver the Keynote Welcome speech - Building on Egypt's aviation heritage to make a sustainable future. Egyptair are the Host airline and aerospace group for Aviation Africa 2018 and Safwat Musallam, Chairman, EygptAir Holding Co. will also present a Keynote Address on behalf of the hosts. 

Mark Brown from Times Aerospace Events who are organising the event said: "This is the 3rd edition of Aviation Africa and we are delighted that this year's event in Cairo has attracted more participants than previous shows. We have also introduced a networking element to the event to ensure that everyone attending can connect with each other prior to the show to schedule meetings in advance and really capitalise on their time at Aviation Africa."

The Aviation Africa event takes place at the Intercontinental City Stars on April 17-18 2018 and includes a business-to-business exhibition and opportunities to network with airlines, government and manufacturers/service providers.
