ACJC re-delivers an upgraded ACJ320 cabin to undisclosed customer

Posted 1 November 2016 · Add Comment

Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC) has partnered with its parent division Airbus Corporate Jets to offer to an undisclosed ACJ Customer a global upgrade and heavy maintenance including, for the first time, the installation of a state of the art connectivity solution for VoIP (Voice Over IP) technology.

Acting on behalf of Airbus Corporate Jets for an ACJ320 customer, ACJC has successfully completed the engineering, installation and certification of a brand new Wi-Fi solution. The solution expands capability and enhances connectivity, allowing the internet to be used to make telephone calls. This retrofit work included the upgrade of an Airbus Swift Broad Band (SBB) solution, encompassing the replacement of the aircraft’s top skin fuselage panel.

ACJC’s expertise in cabin systems upgrades and its full Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA) authority, ensures that its retrofit solutions comply fully with Airbus’ quality, performance, and aircraft architecture requirements.

This complex integration was conducted in parallel with a major heavy maintenance check, including a landing-gear overhaul, enabling a one-stop visit for the customer.

“Thanks to our team’s agility and expertise in ACJ maintenance and communication system upgrades, we have successfully met our customer’s requirements for schedule and quality,” said Joël Frugier, general manager of the Airbus Corporate Jet Centre. “Our partnership with the Airbus Corporate Jets unit is the most optimised solution for demanding private individuals and governments that want high-end technologies and peace-of-mind maintenance services to Airbus standards.”
